Seek Dream
Informed by Mongolian and Han Chinese cultural influences, the project explores the relationship between pastoral landscapes, nomadic culture and urban experience through contemporary jewellery. References to grassland life—including open landscapes, animals, movement and traditional craft—are contrasted with the structure, order and restraint associated with the city. These different visual and cultural elements are translated through material, form and wearable construction, combining softer organic surfaces with more defined metal structures. Rather than directly reproducing traditional symbols or imagery, the project focuses on how different cultural references, memories and material qualities can be brought together within a contemporary jewellery language, reflecting the coexistence of multiple cultural influences within a single body of work.
